Kathmandu : Dr. Bishal Bhandari, a Nepali-origin physician and Chair of the Health Committee of Maryland’s Commission on South Asian American Affairs, has been recognized for his contributions to healthcare advocacy and health equity in the United States. Dr. Bhandari received a Maryland Governor’s Citation at the inaugural South Asian American Health Summit, held on October 10, 2026, in Rockville, Maryland.
